Asmaa is a catalyst wearing multiple hats: consultant, facilitator, artivist, designer, speaker and writer. A Moroccan nomad with a French passport, she thrives to build bridges between different cultures. Asmaa spent the last 8 years working at the intersection of system change, leadership, gender and regenerative futures. She is currently based on Bundjalung Country in Byron Bay, Australia.
Asmaa designs and facilitates transformative learning experiences for leaders based on collaboration, movement awareness, creativity and emotional intelligence, using tools such as Social Presencing Theater (MIT). In international development she consults on human-centred design, gender equality and digital social innovation. She has worked with the GIZ, Womanity Foundation, UNDP, Hivos, Promundo and MitOst. In her art Asmaa addresses decolonisation, identity, sexuality and healing.
Asmaa is a fellow of the RSA, the Policy Center for the Global South and the BMW Foundation Leaders Program. She is involved in various decentralised networks like OuiShare, Amanitas, Global Innovation Gathering, Sandbox, or African Crossroads. She co-authored 2 books in French and a series of short stories in Wellbeing Wild Magazine in Australia.
Asmaa grew up in Rabat, and graduated with an Msc in management from EM Lyon in France. She started her career in Paris as a business consultant at PwC during 3 years before prototyping her life as a permanent laboratory, learning and sharing what she explores with entrepreneurs, activists, creatives and change leaders, in over 20 countries.
