I hosted a panel discussion: :onGender in the city:, how to create safer and more inclusive urban environments for women, I also hosted a workshop:, using Social Presencing Theater from the Presencing Institute to explore identity and gender dynamics in the city.




Masculinities in the Arab World
UN WOMEN - Beirut May 2017



The International Men and Gender Equality Study in the Middle East and North Africa (IMAGES MENA) study’ findings were launched at an event in Beirut, Lebanon, on 2 May, as part of the “Masculinities in the Arab World” conference co-organized by UN Women, Promundo and Abaad, a national NGO working on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

From May to Decemebr 2016, I was hosting a series of discussions and workshops in arabic speaking countries, about how we can leverage new media and innovation to have an impact on women's roles in these societies.

We created safe spaces for social and controversial conversations and actions to happen in Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, UAE and Bahrein.

Roundtable discussion on “Arab Women and the Media: A Cultural Revolution” in the Arab Cultures’ Pavilion at the Geneva book and Press Fair held at Palexpo.. The panel was discussing how the presence of women in the Arab media disrupts the media and political landscape..

On this three days conference in Rio De Janeiro, 3000 entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers and citizen from the whole region, came together to rethink and lead Latin America toward a more conscious development model.

WiSTEM is one of the core Programs of the Meera Kaul Foundation. The Conference's objective is reaching relevant messaging to a desired target audience for addressing key issues being faced by professional women worldwide, whether related to entrepreneurship, placements, re-starting careers or establishing start-ups.

In this session, hosted by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), I was discussing along with key drivers of the entrepreneurship and startup scene from Egypt and Kenya our initiatives, the challenges we've faced but also how our approaches have helped create opportunity and can offer long-term perspectives for young people in our home countries.

I was happy to bring the Hyper-Gender topic with conversations and workshops at the Art-Earth-Tech first gathering with farmers technologists, researchers, lawyers and artists. AET is a community of people seeking a wiser world. We do this by providing space, a network and knowledge.

HYPER-GENDER: THE END OF HIERARCHIES?



The OuiShare Fest is the main 3-day conference gathering 2,000 creative leaders, entrepreneurs, movement builders, purpose-driven organizations and communities from across the globe to explore the edges of the economy, society and ourselves. This was the first time we had Gender as a topic in this conference.

I was keen on hosting a conversation on our experiences and projects about digital nomadism, and global communities coworking and co-living across the globe. We gave an overview of this "trend" and challenges we are facing today, on an individual level and project wise.

oCOLLABORATIVE BUSINESS MODELS IN MENA



Launched in October 2015, SwitchMed Connect is an annual gathering of Mediterranean stakeholders to build synergies, exchange knowledge, and scale up eco and social innovations. Annually, leading start-ups and entrepreneurs, industry agents, change agents, policy and financial institutions working on applications of productive, circular and sharing economies in the Mediterranean come together in Barcelona. I gave a talk and facilitated a workshop about collaborative business models in MENA.



Atelier ARt COP21, La Gaite lyrique - Paris , Nov. 2015



For the COP21 in November 2015, ArtCOP21 connected hundreds of thousands of people to the climate challenge through an extensive global programme of over 550 major events taking place right across Paris and in 54 total countries worldwide. I facilitated a workshop built around an exchange of good practice, claims to strengthen intersectoral dialogues and multi-player. It also aims to highlight the need for support and targeted funding arrangements from the public sector to provide leadership to the cultural sector in sustainable development.

As co-chairs of the OuiShare Fest (3 days conference of 2000 pioneers - see below) in 2015, Francesca Pick and I opened the conference with a speech about our theme "Lost in Transition", reflecting on the different transitions ongoing in our era, at all levels, economic, organizational, political, environmental and individual.

Innovation week - city of lille, nov. 2014



The innovation week is organized every year by the City of Lille and has about 1500 visitors. I was invited to give a keynote about the collaborative economy in the 2014 edition at the Palais des Beaux-Arts.

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Novembre 2014 was the fifth edition and the first one in Africa, where Joe Biden was the opening keynote speaker. The theme of the Summit, “Harnessing the Power of Technology for Innovation and Entrepreneurship,” explores the positive impact of technology on innovation and entrepreneurship. I spoke about how collaborative economy presents entrepreneurs with enormous opportunity.

Exhibition wave - paris september 2014



Drawing on a wide range of concrete examples, the WAVE exhibition explores the major currents on every continent: co-creation, the sharing economy, the maker movement, the inclusive economy, and the circular economy. These examples feature people from all walks of life who share a positive vision of the world of tomorrow. I organized a public day showcasing majors projects in Paris around this topics through the OuiShare community.
